4.1k (men) / 3.6k (women) Summer Biathlon Race Description

The Running Course

"A" is once around the HSC property by the shortest dirt road, 1.0km, starting and ending at the IPSC/USPSA street sign.
"B" is the same as "A", above, except it includes a trip to the shooting range. (65-yard IPSC Range)
"C" is the same as "B", above, except it includes a run straight across the entrance road to a turn-around marker. The entrance road is the road directly from the main entrance gate to the clubhouse.

The men's race is 4.1k + 100m per missed shot.
C+C+A

The women's race is 3.6k + 100m per missed shot.
B+B+A

The race-course will take you past several ranges with possible heavy gunfire. Wearing adequate hearing-protection at all times during a race is recommended.

Try to limit talking to zero at the range while a participant is beyond the walk/run line progressing towards the firing line or in the act of shooting. "Never" talk at the range would be too strongly worded, but not by much! Some type of subdued crowd noise is encouraged, maybe between professional golf and an ice-hockey game.

RSO's (Range Safety Officers) are instructed to focus on safety only, and may or may not respond to other questions/issues.

While registering, be sure to check which class you will be participating in. If it's not clear, feel free to ask for more explanation during check-in, or by email.

Devin Mfg. Steel Practice Targets

The lower bull is "small".
